It's pretty obvious that it's a sketch. 
I was inspired to draw this after hiking the old volcanoes of West Albuquerque (part of the Petroglyph National Monument) and finding a bunch of millipedes. The're so beautiful and disgusting, I couldn't help it! Of course, they aren't as mean as this beast, but they're pretty gross.
